What you cover, in rotation

The group works through these in order and then begins again on fresh ground. Join at whatever stage it is on — nothing here assumes you were there for the last one, and nothing runs out — or drop in for a single session if that is all you can manage.

  1. Stage 1Mobility Baseline & Joint Awareness
    • The difference between flexibility, mobility, stability and strength.
    • A gentle baseline check for ankles, hips, spine, shoulders and balance.
    • Controlled joint circles and pain-free range-of-motion principles.
    • Beginning a simple five-minute morning practice.
  2. Stage 2Hips, Ankles & Ground Confidence
    • Ankle dorsiflexion, calf mobility and foot activation for steadier walking.
    • Hip rotation, supported squats and comfortable floor transitions.
    • Leg strength through sit-to-stand and step-pattern progressions.
    • Modifications using a chair, a wall or a mobility strap.
  3. Stage 3Spine, Shoulders & Everyday Reach
    • Restoring comfortable spinal rotation, extension and side bending.
    • Overhead reach through shoulder and upper-back mobility sequences.
    • Pairing breathing with movement to reduce unnecessary tension.
    • Carrying, reaching, bending and lifting mechanics for daily life.
  4. Stage 4Balance, Integration & Personal Maintenance Plan
    • Combining lower-body mobility, spinal movement, shoulder range and balance.
    • Gait, directional changes and recovery steps.
    • Identifying your own priority areas and appropriate progressions.
    • Assembling and rehearsing your personal ten-minute daily flow.

4 sessions in the cycle, then it begins again on new ground.

Who leads it, and what is provided

Led by Functional mobility coach, physical therapist, or corrective exercise specialist.

Movement screens, scalable progressions, comfort monitoring, and individual routine design.

On the table when you arrive

  • Yoga mats and chairs
  • Resistance bands
  • Yoga blocks and mobility straps
  • Optional light weights

And then?

Take it again, on a new theme

Going round once does not mean you are done with it. The same journey rotates through these subjects, so staying on is fresh ground rather than a repeat — no prerequisites, and nothing to re-learn.

  • Everyday Ease — general joint care, balance and movement confidence
  • Active Aging — floor transitions, walking resilience and fall-risk reduction
  • Weekend Ready — mobility for hiking, gardening, travel and recreation
