What you leave with

A carrier that fits properly, and a group of parents who walk together after it ends

Safe, ergonomic carrier education combined with coastal nature walks at an unhurried, baby-led pace. TICKS safety, the ergonomic M position, woven wraps, back carries and all-weather layering.

A carrier lending library means you can try four kinds before buying one, which is the single most useful thing about turning up.

What you cover, in rotation

The group works through these in order and then begins again on fresh ground. Join at whatever stage it is on — nothing here assumes you were there for the last one, and nothing runs out — or drop in for a single session if that is all you can manage.

  1. Stage 1Carrier Fitting, TICKS Safety & The Ergonomic M Position
    • The TICKS rules: tight, in view, close enough to kiss, chin off chest, supported back.
    • The ergonomic M squat position for healthy hip development.
    • Fitting soft-structured carriers, stretchy wraps and ring slings.
    • A gentle one-mile flat coastal trail walk.
  2. Stage 2Woven Wraps, Mei Dais & Weight Distribution
    • Front wrap cross carry with woven wraps.
    • Distributing weight across shoulders, ribcage and lumbar spine.
    • A coastal walk with pauses for feeding and changes.
  3. Stage 3Back Carrying Mechanics & Toddler Wearing
    • Transitioning babies over six months to secure high-back carries.
    • Spotter-assisted hip scoot and safety manoeuvres.
    • A coastal bluff walk with sea breezes and wildlife views.
  4. Stage 4All-Weather Wearing, Layering & Community Brunch
    • Dressing baby and parent for marine layer, sun, wind and rain.
    • A 1.5-mile group walk along the beach path.
    • An outdoor café stop and parent community networking.

4 sessions in the cycle, then it begins again on new ground.
