Saturday Ferment Club: Bake Sourdough and Make Krauts Over Fire
Grow a sourdough starter, ferment krauts and kimchi in your own jars, and bake a loaf on a wood fire. The starter goes home alive.
Weekend Farm Tours for Your Family
For families who want to get out on the weekend and see where their food comes from.
Every weekend there is a new route with a different set of farms across San Diego County. Pick the farms you'll visit online before you go, so each farm knows you're coming. Then drive your own car from one farm to the next.
Each farm starts its tour at a set time, so arrive on time. Learn the story behind each farm and the people who run it, meet the animals on farms that keep them, and explore the land. Every farm runs its stop its own way.
One membership covers tours for up to 5 people, and kids are welcome. Leave pets at home so the farm animals stay calm. Cancel anytime.
The San Diego Farm Crawl is a program hosted by the Eco Agritourism Development Fund, a nonprofit. The tours are for members only, and the membership is paid to the Fund.
