What you leave with

A personal progress roadmap, and a student who explains their reasoning out loud

Deep conceptual intuition, spatial logic and algebraic confidence, in cohorts of six. Mentors diagnose the root conceptual blocker rather than re-teaching last night's homework.

Nothing here claims a grade. What it claims is six students to a tutor and a syllabus you can read before you buy it.

What makes this one worth it

  • Number Sense, Proportions & Visual Fractions
  • Algebraic Generalization & Equation Mechanics
  • Geometric Logic, Coordinates & Linear Functions
  • Multi-Step Word Problems, Games & Capstone Challenge

What is included

  • All 8 sessions of the 4-week cohort — 12 hours of instruction
  • A place held for you for the whole run, in a cohort of 6–6
  • Every piece of equipment listed below, provided on the day
  • Your instructor, and their attention in a group this size

What to bring

  • Water, and something to eat if you want it
  • Nothing else — the kit is provided

What you cover, in rotation

The group works through these in order and then begins again on fresh ground. Join at whatever stage it is on — nothing here assumes you were there for the last one, and nothing runs out — or drop in for a single session if that is all you can manage.

  1. Stage 1Number Sense, Proportions & Visual Fractions
    • Ratios, proportional reasoning and scaling factors.
    • Visual geometric models for multiplying and dividing fractions.
    • Socratic error analysis: why mistakes reveal mathematical structure.
  2. Stage 2Algebraic Generalization & Equation Mechanics
    • From arithmetic to symbolic variables as unknown quantities.
    • Equations as balanced scales, and two-sided transformations.
    • Translating messy word problems into algebraic equations.
  3. Stage 3Geometric Logic, Coordinates & Linear Functions
    • Coordinate plane geometry, and slope as a rate of change.
    • Area formulas derived by decomposition rather than memorisation.
    • Graphing linear relationships and interpreting intersections.
  4. Stage 4Multi-Step Word Problems, Games & Capstone Challenge
    • Breaking contest problems into sub-problems.
    • A collaborative mathematical puzzle escape-room challenge.
    • A personalised progress roadmap and a confidence celebration.

4 sessions in the cycle, then it begins again on new ground.

Who leads it, and what is provided

Led by Dedicated STEM mentor / secondary mathematics educator.

Small group diagnostic coaching, Socratic questioning, and progress reporting.

On the table when you arrive

  • Magnetic graph whiteboards
  • Spatial geometry manipulatives
  • Practice problem sets
