Living Cultures
Monetary History, Central Banking & Economic Systems
Evenings unpacking where money actually comes from — and who gets to make it.
Evenings on the deepest question in science: why there is something it is like to be you.
What you leave with
A working position on the hard problem that you can actually defend
Neural correlates, perceptual illusions, AI cognition and the hard problem of consciousness, in a seminar small enough that everybody speaks.
It is discussion rather than lecture. Sensory demos early in the rotation make the argument better than any slide could: your brain is constructing this, and here is it getting caught.
Once a week · 1 hr 30 min a session
The group works through these in order and then begins again on fresh ground. Join at whatever stage it is on — nothing here assumes you were there for the last one, and nothing runs out — or drop in for a single session if that is all you can manage.
4 sessions in the cycle, then it begins again on new ground.
Led by Cognitive neuroscientist / university researcher.
Translating current neuroimaging research and leading interactive sensory demonstrations.
