For anybody who teaches something: nature, a craft, a subject, a skill
Teach what you know, every week.
A class needs a place, people, and somebody who knows how. You are the third. Livabit is the system for the rest: a space if you need one, an offer people stay for, booking and payments, and a platform people find. We are paid only when somebody joins.
The honest pitch
Knowing it is not the same as having a way to teach it.
Whatever you teach, a class needs a place, people, and somebody who knows how. You are the third. These are the usual gaps in the other two.
No place of your own
A nature walk has the trail. A class on bees, bread or birds needs a table, a field or a kitchen, and most people who teach do not own one.
Nothing for people to stay for
A one-off talk is forgotten by Thursday. A group that meets every week and gets further each time is something people pay for monthly.
Nowhere to be found
There is no shelf for what you teach, so the people who would love it never hear of it.
Farmers, artists, nature guides, cooks, health practitioners, tutors: we call everybody who teaches something an educator, and we built Livabit to be the system you run it on.
How we set you up
Every class needs four things. We help with the ones you are missing.
Knowing how is the part only you have. The rest is somewhere to hold it, an offer people come back for, a way to take the booking, and people to fill it.
1. A space
Use your own place, a beach, a park, or rent one. Farms and studios around the county list rooms, barns, kitchens and gardens in our space directory at livabit.co/spaces, and we introduce you to the host.
2. An offer people stay for
We help you shape what you teach into a class people join by the month, so the same faces come back and build on last week instead of a new crowd starting over every time. Free.
3. The system
Your listing, the booking calendar, card checkout, signed waivers and one message thread per booking, all run on Livabit. Free to use: we earn a commission on what sells.
4. People
We market the whole platform: the San Diego Farm Crawl, our highway sign, ads and our own channels. We will not promise to fill your class on our own, so bring your people too, and we give you the tools to do it.
The arrangement
Five steps, and none of them cost you.
We take part first
We come to a session as a guest would before we list anything. If it is not something we would send a friend to, we say so and part as friends.
We work out what you are missing
A space, an offer, the system, people. Whatever you already have stays as it is; we help with the rest, starting with the one that is stopping you today.
We shape the offer with you
What a month of it looks like, how often you meet, what someone has at the end of the first four weeks, and what it costs. You approve every word before anything goes live.
We put it on Livabit and tell people
Your listing, your calendar and your checkout, and a place in what we market. You bring your own people too, and the listing is a link worth sending them.
You are paid, and we take commission on sessions that ran
Agreed in writing before anything goes live. Nothing is owed on somebody you found yourself, and nothing is owed on a session that did not run.
Where the money goes
Two ways to be paid. You pick.
Everybody asks this first and they are right to. There is no arrangement here where we sit on your money.
People check out on Livabit
You connect a payout account once. From then on people join and pay by card on the listing, and the payment is split on the way through: your share goes to your account on your normal schedule, and our commission comes out as each sale settles. There is no invoice to pay, no balance held on your behalf, and nothing to chase us for.
Or you collect, the way you always have
If you would rather take payment yourself, that is a perfectly good answer. We send you a confirmed booking, you take the money at your price on your terms, and we invoice commission monthly on the sessions we introduced that actually ran. Same rate either way: the choice changes when the money moves, not how much of it is ours.
On the rate itself
We work on a straightforward share of the bookings we bring you. What it comes to depends on what you run, what it costs you to put on and how much of the marketing spend we are carrying, so we agree it with you in writing before anything goes live, and it never changes without your signature. There is no listing fee, no setup fee, no monthly cost, and no charge of any kind on people you find yourself.
And if you rent a space through us
The host pays our commission on a rental we introduced, not you. You pay the host their price, agreed between the two of you, and nothing is added on top.
The terms, without the sales voice
What stays yours, and what we ask
What stays yours
- What you teach, and every decision about how
- Your own students, clients and customers, commission-free
- Your prices: you set them, and we never discount without your say
- Your calendar: close a week or a whole season without asking us
- Your right to list anywhere else you like; there is no exclusivity
- Your right to leave with 30 days’ notice, no exit fee
What we ask of you
Four things, and we hold ourselves to the same standard.
- Any licence or permit what you do needs, and liability cover for groups
- Reply to a confirmed booking request within one business day
- A free reschedule or a full refund whenever you cancel
- Tell us early when something changes, so we are not selling a session that moved
In four numbers
No fees, no lock-in, no exclusivity.

Tell us what you teach
Five minutes, in five short steps. It starts with what you already have, so we know what to help with, and it saves as you go. A real person reads every one and we reply either way.
Educator questions
Fair things to ask
Is what I teach a fit?
If people would come back to learn more of it, probably. We sell classes: groups that meet on a rhythm and build on each session. A skill, a place, a practice or a subject all work; a one-off performance is harder.
I have no business, no website and no space.
That is fine, and common. The system is Livabit, so you do not need a website. The space directory is for the space. What we need from you is the knowledge and the will to show up every week.
What does it cost?
Nothing up front. No listing fee, no setup fee, no monthly cost. We take a commission on bookings we bring, agreed in writing before you go live.
Will you fill it?
We market the whole platform, but we will not promise to fill a group on our own. The educators who do best bring their own people as well, and we give you the listing and the tools to do that.
I run a farm. Is this the right page?
The farm page is livabit.co/hosts/agritourism, and the San Diego Farm Crawl brings families to farms one weekend a month: livabit.co/hosts/farm-crawl.
Run something else? The general partner page covers every kind of class, workshop and experience on the same terms.
