About Laguna Shoreline Trust · Laguna Beach, California

Laguna Shoreline Trust has worked this stretch of coast since 2008 — surveys, tidepool monitoring, and the cleanup that pays for neither of them. Ruth Delgado runs the volunteer side of it.

The walk is free and is going to stay free. It is on Livabit because it is worth doing rather than because it earns anything: no commission is taken on it, and that is written into the agreement rather than left to goodwill.

Known for

  • Free, and nobody takes a commission on it
  • Timed to the tide, so the pools are actually open
  • Buckets, gloves and grabbers provided
